Recently Iran “elected” a new president. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the former mayor of Tehran, was known as a hard-line conservative. The former mayor assured his countrymen and the foreign press he would govern as a moderate…well….so much for that nonsense. Ahmadinejad let the cat out of the bag this week. At the “The World without Zionism” Conference the new Iranian president made his position clear. In unmistakable words, Ahmadinejad said the state of Israel should be wiped off the map. Ahmadinejad also condemned fellow Muslim states that made peace or recognized Israel. The president vowed that he would not let up in the hostility toward Israel. With these simple words, the Islamic radicals of the world have their rallying cry and truth is revealed. The Phalanx is no great fan of Israel, but even the Jewish state’s harshest critics must recognize that Israel has bent over backwards to accommodate its enemies and to what avail? Withdraw…and they attack. Offer a host of concessions…and they attack. No matter what Israel does it will never be good enough. Why? Because they are Jewish!!! The Islamic radicals of the world, of which Iran is a principle component are governed by that familiar credo: submit, convert or die. Iran, however, won’t dare embark on a direct confrontation with Israel, as Israel would be the ones doing the “wiping out.” Instead these murderous cowards will lurk in the shadows and attack under cover of darkness, as that is their specialty. Even the appeasers of Europe were quick to recognize the savagery exposed in Iran’s statement. Perhaps, they will recognize that there is no reasoning with these terrorists.

A growing chorus of world leaders are expressing outrage at the Iranian leaders comments, some are even surprised. But why? We have known this for some time. Israel's destruction has been state policy since teh Iranian "revolution" in 1979.
