Business criticized for not providing free services

If someone walked into their local Sears and Roebuck they wouldn’t expect to walk out with a refrigerator free of charge would they? If a person drove up to a mechanic, they couldn’t expect a free oil change. If someone strolled into a grocery store, they wouldn’t receive free food, so why should a family expect a free visit with Santa, when they refuse to purchase the requisite photograph. This may come as a surprise to members of the world socialist movement, but malls are businesses, they exist to make money through the sale of goods and services. A mall Santa is a service sold at the mall, just as a Chanel Bag or Estee Lauder perfume is a product sold at the mall.
Regardless of this capitalist reality, the Maria Grigorian of Massachusetts expressed outrage when her daughter was denied a visit with Santa because the mother would not purchase a portrait. Apparently, the mall is supposed to provide this service as a courtesy for patrons. Why not also provide free food in the food court, or free haircuts at the salon or free shoes at the Foot Locker? Where does it end? By what precedent should Grigorian expect free services? Visits with Santa aren’t a right enshrined in the Constitution.
From this brief story we can already tell what type of indoctrination 4-year-old Michelle Grigorian is destined to endure. She will no doubt grow up to be a full fledged leftist, with a full understanding for those things she believes she is “entitled” to regardless of work, effort or merit. I suppose we could feel sorry for the child that she didn’t get her visit with Santa, but where does the fault for this lie? With the mall? No with the mother! "I am a single mom and don't have that money right now," Maria Grigorian said. In other words because I am poor and made equally poor decisions I am therefore entitled to preferential treatment. Naturally, the mall relented, because making a profit is the worse thing a business can do in America, thanks to leftist indoctrination. Take notice welfare recipients, this is your cue to go to the finest restaurant in town and demand service because you are “poor” and therefore special.

It could be worse. In Switzerland they banned sitting on Santa's lap, for fear that he might be a pedophile.
