Israel hastens plans for airstrike?

Not all nations are twiddling their thumbs while Iran inches ever closer to full nuclear capability. While the EU3 condemn Iran’s latest moves to resume nuclear research and the White House vows to keep “talking,” reports from Israel indicate that the Jewish state is seeking more drastic alternatives. While prime Minister Ariel Sharon may be incapacitated, the Israeli government continues to move ahead with plans for a strike on Iran.
The Israelis are well aware that they cannot stop the Iranian program outright. The Iranians learned their lesson from Osirak raid in 1981 and have dispersed research facilities across the country and even under ground. The best the Israelis can hope for is to delay the inevitable and inevitable it most certainly is. The Israeli strike would be filled with danger. The Israelis lack stealth technology and would be forced to rely on long range bombers like the F-15, such planes would be easy targets for Iran’s anti-aircraft batteries. Indeed, Iran recently made a deal with Russia to upgrade its anti-aircraft technology; no doubt, this deal has hastened Israel’s plans to move ahead before such weaponry is in place, as it would make a successful raid much less likely.
The Israelis are in a race against time that has been prompted by the complete and total failure of the EU3 (and to a lesser extent, the Bush Administration), who have done nothing of substance to halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The EU3 have offered Iran concessions, which have amounted to nothing more than favorable trade deals, but have taken no real steps to back up their word’s with actions. Sensing the empty threats and fears of meaningless sanctions, the Iranians, in a fashion reminiscent of Adolf Hitler, have not hesitated to continue their nuclear weapons plans. Those plans have been advanced by super-power hopefuls Russia and China who will stop at nothing to undermine the West, even at the expense of long-term global security. The Russians in particular, while condemning Iran’s nuclear actions through diplomatic channels, have been chiefly responsible for the current impasse.
Russia, however, will not have long to wait when the chickens come home to roost. Russia has seen its fair share of Islamic terrorism and we can be certain that once Iran proliferates nuclear technology throughout the radical Islamic world, the weapons used against Russians will bear their mark. It is therefore understandable that Israel’s thoughts have turned to preemption, as they did during the 1967 war. Israel, knows it cannot depend on anyone and since they would be the first target of a nuclear Iran, they rightly figure that they have nothing to loose. Unfortunately, for the rest of us a strike on Iran, be it now or later, will almost certainly lead to a wider war in the Middle East, perhaps the final war of Islamic conquest that radical Islam has been hoping for.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING PASSAGES FROM THE BIBLE AS IT HAS IMPLICATIONS ON THE WAR AGAINST TERROR/ISLAM and the claim of Israel that god gave them the land. If the child is an infant than the Judeo-Christian version becomes null and void and we are wasting our time and resources i.e. we could save trillions of dollars and create a more peaceful world rather than fighting against Islam the religion of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them all).
The COVENANT with Abraham and his DESCENDANTS is central to islam/chritianity/judaism.
Please note this is not a competition between faiths but an attempt to decipher fact from fiction.
GENESIS 16:16
And Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael. Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.
GENESIS 21:5
Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.
At Genesis 22 Abraham had only 2 sons others came later. The Quran mentions that it was Ishmael that was sacrificed hence the reference in genesis 22:2 your only son can only mean someone has substituted Ishmael names for Isaac!!

BUT IT IS A DESCRIPTION OF AN INFANT.
Carefully read several times the above passage and then tell me the mental picture you get between the mother child interactions what is the age of the child. If the mental picture is that of a 17 year old child being carried on the shoulder of his mother, being physically placed in the bush, crying like a baby, mother having to give him water to drink, than the Islamic viewpoint is null and void.
I have shown the passage of Genesis 21 to my two elder children of good reading ages now and without influencing them asked them what mental picture they got about the age of Ishmael in that passage and they thought he was about 5 years old. I have also tried the same thing with my work colleagues some of whom are qualified with PhD’s and have the ENGLISH language as their mother tongue and they also said they thought Ishmael was 5 years or younger because some of them stated by themselves that there was no verbal interaction between mother and child. i.e. If Ishmael is not of talking age then he must be less than a year old.
GENESIS:21:14 - 21
So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water, and gave it to Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, along with the child, and sent her away. And she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beer-Sheba. When the water in the skin was gone, she cast the child under one of the bushes. Then she went, and sat down over against him a good way off, about the distance of a bowshot; for she said, “Let me not look upon the death of the child.” And as she sat over against him, the child lifted up his voice and wept. AS THE DESCRIPTION OF ISHMAEL IN GENESIS 21:14-21 IS THAT OF AN INFANT IT CAN BE ASSUMED SOMEONE HAS MOVED THIS PASSAGE FROM AN EARLIER PART OF SCRIPTURE!!! AND HAVE GOT THERE KNICKERS IN A TWIST.

HOLY QURAN CHAPTER 37 verses 101 - 122
101. So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear.
102. Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!"

ISHMAEL IS THE FIRST BORN AND GOOD NEWS OF ISSAC DOES NOT APPEAR UNTIL AFTER THE SACRIFICE?????
Therefore the claim that god gave the land to Israel is destroyed without the need of any WMD’s.
Without going point by point on this laundry list of biblical references, I can assume that you argue that Israel has no basis for its existence? The fact of the matter is Israel does exist, regardless of the deeds of its founder (be those deeds meritorious or acrimonious) and regardless of imagined biblical loopholes. With few exceptions, an objective person can look at the founding of almost every country on Earth and argue that its founders didn’t have a legitimate claim to all or portions of the land they now posses. That is certainly the case with every single country in North and South America, the “Muslim” lands of the Middle East, most of modern day China and Russia and a number of countries in Europe. So what are we to do? Fight endless battles over the claims of our dead ancestors and forefathers? Are we to blame for the sins of our fathers? Today, even the PLO recognizes Israel’s right to exist (at least nominally), the premise of individuals like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who claim Israel has no place in the family of nations is without merit. Israel has as much claim to exist as Iran or any other nation. To argue that Israel’s past, which is no less tainted than that of its neighbors, justifies its annihilation is absurd.
Israel is only modern country which insists that god gave them this land how many other countries claim this?
This claim is debunked by one passage from the bible i.e from their own scripture.
They move illegal immigrants from eastern europe into palestinian territories. How many european contries would allow illegal immigrants to enter into there terrortories like that? Do you think they would welcome them with open arms?
If the citizens of these countries fought back with these armed settlers would they be called terrorists?
