Economic growth exceeds 5%

Contrary to the negativists, the leftists, the socialists and other anti-capitalists, the US economy continues to confound the naysayers. According to the latest figures from the US Commerce Department, the US economy grew by 5.3% during the last quarter. This represents sizable growth across the board, and further disproves the leftist position that the US economy is foundering.
Since the moment the Democrats left office 5 and ½ years ago, they have regularly attempted to cast the US economy in the most negative light possible. This is a concerted strategy to portray themselves as saviors rather than the tax and spend liberals we have known for decades.
The left has convinced many sheep-like Americans that tax cuts have harmed the economy and that there are no jobs available, that standard of living is in decline, all of which is nonsense in the highest sense of the word. Not only is the US economy growing at a phenomenal rate, far exceeding any other western country, but unemployment remains extremely low (less than 5%). The last thing this country needs is a leftist administration committed to higher taxes and needless government interference and regulation. The question remains whether Bush will capitalize on these figures or if he will allow the left to dominate the political area, as he has for the last 5 years.
Just imagine how prosperous this country would be if Bush was as committed to smaller leaner government as he claims.
