Less than a day after North Korea launched a series of missiles over the Sea of Japan, the supposed unity of the international community has already faded. It should come as no surpise that both Russia and China have resisted calls for a stern response to Pyongyang's latest agressive acts.
So much for Japan's call for swift action from the UN...the position of Russia and China should shock no one, here we have two countries that oppose just about every proposal made by the the US, Europe or Japan.
If Japan truly feels threatened by the latest North Korean move (as they should) they should take steps to defend themselves, including but not limited to full scale re-militarization, a move that would certainly open the eyes of the tyrants in Beijing.

Russia and China have been undermining our negotiations with North Korea for years now. They play neutral or western negotiators, but screw us everytime an offer is thought to be reached by proposing something extra that North Korea hadn't thought of. That was exactly the case with light water reactors.
