Left to fight, if…

In an eerily similar position to American leftist politicians…Mexican leftist leader Lopez Obrador, has vowed to fight the outcome of the recount in court, if the election goes against him.

According to Obrador, there was fraud and other electoral irregularities in the July 2nd poll. Irregularities, in Mexico? Surely Obrador is mistaken…there can be little doubt that Lopez Obrador will not lift a finger to investigate these supposed irregularities if he turns out to be the winner. Indeed he would move to cement those irregularities to ensure his party remains in power.

Obrador’s position is textbook leftist behavior, they are never willing to accept defeat, if they are defeated then it must be fraud or corruption, this was the position of Al Gore, who to this day insists that he won the 2000 vote in Florida, which is contradicted by all the evidence. If Gore was inclined to believe such a farce, why did he oppose a statewide recount, rather than recount votes only in Democratic strongholds and why did several independent newspapers confirm his defeat in a privately funded recount of the Florida ballot? Why because leftists are all cut from the same cloth and Lopez Obrador is no exception.

The one thing in Obrador’s favor is the fact that this election took place in Mexico, not Florida and as such Obrador’s claims of fraud are therefore far more believable than Gore’s leap of fantasy.
