Islamists on the march…

We have been led to believe by the left, advocates for peace and Islamists themselves that there is no global Islamic movement, that there is no global threat posed by Islamic militants.

We have been told that the conflicts that do exist are akin to a struggle by “freedom fighters,” we have been led to believe that if there were no war in Iraq, there would be no need for a war on terror, as if the often misguided policies of George Bush are the sole cause of the radical Islamic movement.

As is often the case, realty is far different from perception. While one could ague the war in Iraq is the biggest of all distractions, one could in no way argue the war on terror is a figment of Bush 43’s imagination or even has anything to do the United States in particular. This war would be waging today irrespective of the US and its policies. For decades, if not centuries, Islamists have waged all out war against the west and infidels everywhere, there stated aim being to establish a global Islamic movement.

Their plan for the rest of us is summed up by a familiar credo: submit, convert or die. From India to Russia to Spain to France to the Netherlands to the Philippines to Indonesia to China Islamists have made their presence is felt.

Perhaps nowhere is the brutal savagery more devastating than the African continent where radicals are waging all out war to install Islamic governments in Nigeria, Kenya, Somalia and Sudan. In Sudan these Islamist have murdered thousands of Christians and other non-Muslims in the Darfur region. In Somalia, a nation ravaged by war for decades, the Islamists are close to achieving their goal. There, government troops from Ethiopia have attempted to stem the flow of radical Islam, with moderate success.

Meanwhile in Southeast Asia, especially Thailand, Islamists have become increasingly brazen. According to recent figures sectarian violence committed by Islamic radicals against Buddhists Monks, teachers, and others have increased exponentially, with a particular increase in beheadings and all this because of George Bush? Hardly.

New York releases vital statistics...

The City of New York released a host of stats on birth rates, death rates, the number of abortions, etc... For the most part this information was fairly routine, but one statistic in particular raises an eyebrow. According to the city's Health Department over half (52%) of the city's births were paid for by Medicaid.

Over 70,000 mothers, many of whom were single mom's have chosen to have children they can't afford, perpetuating an endless cycle of party largely because they are too selfish and irresponsible to be held accountable for their own actions.

Sadly, for many of these children, they will know nothing of the value of an education, they will know nothing of a strong work ethic, they will know nothing of the concept of individual responsibility. They will, however, quickly come to expect reward, regardless of effort, they will demand wages and handouts disproportionate to their worth. Above all, we can expect them to remain solidly loyal to America's leftist demagogues, ensuring a new generation of Democratic voters for the City of New York. While advocates for the "poor" (ie, lazy) will argue such handouts are entirely justified and should be increased, the exact opposite is true.

As long as this country continue to reward idleness and sloth, this country will continue to falter...New York City, however, is not alone. Across the country in every city and town this mentality is perpetuated. In the halls of Congress it is promoted by the same economically ignorant politicians who call for an increase in the minimum wage, further rewarding those who have squandered every opportunity to be a success. This scene is also repeated throughout the world. In one developing country after another, teh parade of irresponsibility marches on with devastating results...

Plan to send more troops to Iraq

President Bush is openly mulling the idea of sending more troops to Iraq to bolster the faltering security situation in that country. The notion, however, is laughable. If the president embraces this foolhardy premise as it appears he is destined to do, it will do nothing to strengthen security. 10,000 troops here, 15,000 troops there will do nothing in the grand scheme of things, perhaps a few million would make a difference, anything less is meaningless.

What the president should do is move to reduce the US troops strength in that embattled nation, forcing the Iraqi government to augment the security vacuum or falter. If the government falters so be it, nothing is gained by the deaths of more US soldiers in a wasted effort to bolster a government destined to embrace Iran as a partner.

Iraq like much of the radical Islamist world is all but beyond hope and if it is to be saved, the Iraqis must be its savior. Democracy cannot be imposed with any realistic hope of taking root. Indeed, our continued military presence in that country only strengthens the resolve of radicals and weakens the hopes for true democracy.

Miss USA can continue her "reign"

It must be a slow news week, when one o f the biggest stories around is the fact of Miss USA.

Apparently much ado has been made of the fact that Miss USA has been carousing around New York city making a mockery of the Miss USA Pageant. Does it come as a surprise to anyone that a person who has so little going for them that they would enter such a contest is spending their day hopping bars and making a fool of themselves? Shouldn't we expect as much from people who lack the mental stamina to use their talents for something more that parading around as a trophy.

The mockery, however is the mere existence of such a pageant and the fact that news of its contestants permeates the news for days and weeks on end.

With so much going in the world of business, politics, etc…it speaks volumes that the so-called reign of a new piece of male eye candy is all that we hear about…

"Christian" video game sparks ire

A new “Christian” inspired video game has sparked ire and calls for a boycott. The supposed video games based on scripture (the question is what scripture) calls on game participants to convert non-believers or kill them, that’s right kill them.

With people like these its becoming increasingly difficult for true Christians to call themselves as such for fear of being identified with an ever growing chorus of so-called Christians who advocate killing non-believers and using the power of the state to impose one’s faith on others, making it increasingly difficult to distinguish between so-called Christians and the mad mullahs who advocated armed insurrection to establish a global Islamic state.

Perhaps the Left Behind crew should consider following the teachings of Christ rather than Pat Robertson and other extremists.

Holocaust denial love-fest in Tehran

If there’s anything that can bring the terror loving worlds of radical Islam and knuckle dragging white supremacist together, its hatred of Jews. For the past 2 days Holocaust deniers from around the world, including Europe and North America have converged on Tehran to foam at the mouth over the idiotic notion that the Holocaust was a myth. The notion, propagated by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is that Jews and their western allies promoted the idea of a Nazi holocaust to win support for the creation of Israel, a supposition that flies in the face of common sense, after all the equally fascists Islamic tyrants of the Middle East couldn’t have cared less if a holocaust had or hadn’t taken place.

Ahmadinejad’s Holocaust conference was noted for who attended\, including ultra-Orthodox Jews and former KKK Grand mystic imperial Pubah, David Duke, who argued: "The Zionists have used the Holocaust as a weapon to deny the rights of the Palestinians and cover up the crimes of Israel." Does anyone truly believe that a race monger and white supremacist like David Duke actually cares about the plight of the poor Palestinians?

The merits of this Holocaust conference barely deserve mention, one might as well debate whether or not slavery ever existed, the flammability of gasoline or the circumference of the Earth. In either case, the answer is foreknown.

One thing is for certain, every person in attendance at that conference in Tehran knows beyond question the reality of the Holocaust, yet it serves their mutual interests to embrace this farce. Like all racists, tyrants, demagogues and others these purveyors of fantasy seek only to draw attention away from the realty of their own failures, either as a people, a nation or as individuals by blaming others for their many, many shortcomings.

The Arab-Israeli question has plagued society for as long as there has been an Arab and an Israeli, they are diametrically opposed to one another by virtue of the fact that each other exists.

This point is lost on most, as evidenced by a recent point in the published report of the Iraq study group: “there must be a renewed and sustained commitment by the United States to a comprehensive Arab-Israeli peace on all fronts.” This notation perpetuates an ongoing myth: that the existence of Israel is the cause (or one of the causes) of Islamic terrorism. This of course is without merit. For most Islamic extremists, Israel is simply a justification to foment murder and terror, just like Iraq or a thousand other excuses.

For most of these radicals their mission is quite clear: world domination. Their goal is a universal Islamic state, their followers and leaders have admitted as much in both spoken and written word. Their actions demonstrate this resolve on a daily basis. Thus the simple conclusion is obvious there can be no peaceful resolution of the Arab-Israeli question (short of one side annihilating the other as proposed by Iran) as it is propagated on several myths. The first myth being the so-called Palestinian actually want peace. If this were true, then peace would reign this very day over the skies of Israel, for 6 years ago, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered then Palestinian leader Yassir Arafat everything but the kitchen sink, toward the creation of a Palestinian state, and still Arafat balked, why? Because peace is not their goal.

To be true, the Israelies have made numerous mistakes, but it is the actions of their Arab counterparts that have led to decades of war. Yet another myth is the fabled Palestinian state itself. There has NEVER been a Palestinian state in all of human history. Sure there were hundreds of thousands of people of Arab descent living in what is today Israel (just as there were hundreds of thousands of Hebrews living in many of today’s modern Arab states), but there was never a Palestine.

Long before this land was the subject of so much controversy it was the home of King David et al., following the rise of Rome, Judea became a Roman province for centuries, after Rome was permanently divided, the land was under the authority of the Byzantine Empire, followed by the Ottoman Turks and later the British (after WWI) and finally the creation of the modern state of Israel in 1948.

And what of these so-called Palestinians, what have their Arab neighbors done for them, those Arabs who care so much for the welfare of their beleaguered brethren, those Islamic radicals who care so much. Where are they? They are exactly where they were when that Tsunami struck in Indonesia killing thousands of Muslims – nowhere! Meanwhile nations like the US, Britain, Australia, (you know…the enemies of Islam) give billions to rebuild. These Islamic radicals are not and have no interest in promoting peace, now or anytime in the future these are ruthless, murdering, savages determined to dominate the globe in pursuit of their mantra: submit, convert or die. Depend upon it!

Woe to the murderers, their life is so hard

Eric Robert Rudolph, the Atlanta Olympic Park Bomber and the Alabama Abortion Clinic bomber and the Gay Night Club Bomber is lamenting his isolation in prison…

Apparently, the murderer and self styled moral crusader has been writing letters to the press, complaining of his living conditions in the Colorado Supermax prison where he has been housed since his conviction for murder.

Rudolph, who spends 23 hrs a day in solitary confinement along side other great Americans like Ted Kazinksi and Terry Nichols, contends that the treatment at Supermax can have only one result: madness.

"Using solitary confinement, Supermax is designed to inflict as much misery and pain as is constitutionally permissible."

Eric Rudolph

The fact that this savage animal can even utter the word constitution is laughable given his insatiable desire to deny individual freedom to others in pursuit of his murderous crusade. If anything Rudolph’s treatment is far too generous. His confinement does nothing for the victims who suffered by his bloody hand, perhaps he should consider their misery before he begins to cry a river of crocodile tears

Democrats oppose future pay raises

After decades of voting for one pay raise after another and after consistent efforts to disregard the word and spirit of the 27th amendment. The Democrats of the 110th Congress have vowed to oppose future pay raises. According to the Democrats it is unconscionable to raise congressional pay again when the minimum wage remains $5.15.

Perhaps what is truly unconscionable is the existence of a federally mandated minimum wage in the first place.

No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened.

27th Amendment

Perhaps if these politicians were as interested in following the Constitution as they were in preserving their own power and influence or perhaps if they weren’t so keen on playing games of semantics by calling a “pay raise” a “cost of living adjustment,” which by any reasonable account is still an effort to vary compensation, then perhaps they could be taken at their word.

Advertising offensive to bums (that’s right bums)

Recently the city of San Francisco was forced to remove local ads at city Bus stops. These adds feature, what is perhaps a Madison Ave first. These ads incorporate technology that produced a familiar smell to entice riders. The ad, produced by the California Milk Processor Board included the smell of chocolate chip cookies.

So why was the city forced to remove the ads? Apparently the ads were viewed as offensive to the city’s bums homeless, because the homeless can’t afford chocolate chip cookies. Well I can’t afford a private jet, does that mean Gulf Stream should be prevented from advertising the merits of their products.

Quite a few Americans can’t afford $600 FOR A Playstation 3 (if they can find one), does that mean Sony should cease all marketing efforts? When does it end, sadly, in San Francisco the answer is never.

While there is no doubt that this country’s porous borders pose a significant threat to the security and long-term viability of this nation, one must be careful not to allow this concern to cloud our decision-making. Such is the case with a Metro-Atlanta county government.

Last night, the Cherokee County Commission voted unanimously to require landlords to verify citizenship and residency status for all tenants. Most liberals decry the move as racial profiling or discriminatory, the typical liberal rallying cry, while conservative hail the move as entirely necessary considering the failure of the federal government to enforce existing laws. While the intent is certainly justified, has it occurred to anyone that this new government mandate imposed on landlords is yet another unnecessary government intrusion on private business. Landlords are not private investigators nor are they a branch of law enforcement and as such they should not be required to perform such tasks.

This will add needless expense to local business owners in the normal conduct of their business, an expense the county should absorb, or perhaps give landowners a subsequent tax reduction for doing the job of government. In addition to the obvious intrusive imposed on private business, this move is also a personal intrusion for tenants. But then again what do we know...

Big Surprise: Chavez wins second term

In a move that comes as no surprise, Hugo Chavez won another 6-year term as president and fascist-in-chief of Venezuela. Chavez won over 60% of the vote during Sunday’s election. Considering the fact that Chavez’s government controls the media, the legislature (100% of the seats) and the elections board, Chavez’s re-election was a forgone conclusion.

With this victory, Chavez has been granted a mandate to push through constitutional “reforms” that will abolish term limits, allowing Chavez to remain in office for decades if he so desires, and make no mistake about it, he certainly desires, and the vast Venezuelan populace desire to sustain their “benefactor” for as long as he wants the top job.

Chavez’s victory also ensures a continued threat to the US, made all the worse by our continued dependence on foreign oil. Chavez’s victory also speaks to the success of the politics of demagoguery, how else would one endeavor to explain how a political failure, one who has failed to fulfill any of his pledges, could win such a staggering victory?

The answer to this question lies in the politics of distraction and a keen ability to pull a Mussolini. Chavez, like most leftists borrows from Il Duce and stresses the importance of blaming others for your problems. In this way Chavez can blame the US for much of Venezuela’s woes, while leftist closer to home blame Wal-Mart, outsourcing, the “rich,” and so on and so forth.
