What would you say if a country was repeatedly the victim of violent attacks, including the bombing of its embassies, attacks on its warships, bombing of military barracks (of more than one occasion), the bombing of office buildings the kidnapping and murder of its citizens? If you say that nation was at war, you would be wrong, at least that is the thinking of Senator John Kerry.

During a recent news conference in support of Senator Barack Obama, Kerry stated that the US was not at war before September 11. Yet during that same news conference Kerry states that it is McCain who is “out of step with history and facts." Perhaps McCain is out of step especially if he, like Bush, clings to the belief that these radicals in Iraq will ever embrace the concept of representative government.

Kerry gross naiveté highlights the danger this country faces. We can also get on our hands and knees and give thanks that Kerry is not our president today. This country can ill afford to have as its leader, individuals who stubbornly refuse to recognize the inescapable truly of Radical Islam which has been a threat to this country, if not all of Western Civilization for decades.
Like Kerry, many leaders, particularly on the left foolishly underestimate the threat this nation faces, some blame Bush in general, or the War in Iraq specifically for creating terrorism, yet the history of events clearly shows that the global threat posed by radical Islam continues from generation to generation.

Much has been made of President Bush's supposed intellectual deficit and perhaps he isn't the brightest bulb in the White House, after all it takes a special breed of political to preside over such an incredible state of affairs.

That being said, one must certainly worry about the intellectual fortitude of the presumptive Democratic nominee. As if his Marxist proposals alone weren't evidence alone of some level of bafoonary, now it appears there is unquestionable evidence of Obama's want for cerebral enhancement.

As it turns out, the esteemed Senator from Illinois is a smoker. That's right, the man who may be president of these United States posesses one of the most vile, self-destructive and moronic habits in the annals of human history.

How can anyone in there right mind cast a vote for someone with such poor judgement as this? This man is no more deserving of the presidency than he is of the right to tax payer funded health care to treat his inevitable smoking related illnesses.

In another example of completely meaningless legislation which typifies the work of a do-nothing Congress more accustomed to political posturing than actually legislative prudence, the US House of Representatives has overwhelmingly passed legislation that would bind OPEC nations to the same anti-trust laws as US companies.

This is a completely outrageous piece of legislation that will do nothing to alleviate oil prices. Since when does the US have sovereignty over other nations? What next are we going to dictate to every nation from China to Russia to Japan to Mexico how much they are allowed to charge for exports. And what are we going to do when they refuse to comply?

As the bill's sponsor, Representative Steve Kagen (D) of Wisconsin noted, we "are at the mercy" of OPEC. And why are we at OPEC's mercy? Because we can't sue? No because our political leaders throw up countless obstacles that encourage energy independence, while encouraging dependency.

At the same time that meaningless OPEC lawsuit legislation is being passed we have efforts by individuals like Colorado's senator looking restrict Oil Shale development, at the same time we have restrictions on drilling in ANWR and off our coasts while every nation from France to China is drilling off our coasts with impunity. Nor have we taken any steps to encourage genuine development of energy alternatives, meanwhile developing nations like Brazil have completely eliminated their dependence on foreign oil. What a disgrace, but then again we get the government we deserve.

A deadly earthquake has struck in China, preliminary reports indicate that this quake measured at least 7.9 on the Richter scale. We already know that the cyclone that struck Burma was caused by global warming and soon Al Gore will make the obvious connection to the Chinese earthquake.

Though there is the possibility that George Bush is to blame for quake, but then again perhaps it is the Iraq War, or high gas prices, perhaps it is the "record" profits of the oil companies or the evil rich. One thing is for sure Plate Tectonics had nothing to do with it....

Since the dawn of human kind we have been engaged in a never ending struggle for freedom against freedom's oldest enemy: the passion of the few to rule the many.

Nowhere is this tyrannical urge more apparent than Burma, where a brutal military regime has denied the most basic freedom's to its citizens for decades. What kind of world do we live in when tens of thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of people are denied humanitarian aide for no reason whatsover?

Now there is word that the military regime there is impounding what little humanitarian aide that has been allowed in the country. No doubt this has been done so the Junta can later sell these items on the black market. What a disgrace.

There are several ways to deal with a nation’s economy. With the Democratic primary race coming to an end, perhaps it is time to pay closer attention to how are nation's economy will be managed under President Obama [sic].

With Obamanomics you raise taxes.

With Obamanomics you increase deficits with massive increases in government spending and introduce more failed government social problems that serve only to increase poverty and dependency.

With Obamanomics you create disincentives for entrepreneurship and discourage businesses from creating jobs by raising corporate and capital gains taxes.

With Obamanomics you increase energy dependence by limiting exploration and restricting development of energy alternatives, while leaving the nation vulnerable to tyrannical foreign regimes.

With Obamanomics you even admit that with low capital gains taxes come increased revenues, but you raise them anyway because it’s the “fair” thing to do.

With Obamanomics the government works not as an engine for growth and opportunity but as an obstacle for complacency and stagnation…on January 20, 2009 say hello to the 1970s.

After years of global warming which we have been taught that man and man alone was responsible for a 1 degree rise in temperatures over the past century. For years environmental extremist have discounted or ignored all scientific evidence that points to the inescapable fact that global temperature changes occur in cycles and the obvious fact that solar activity as significantly increased in the past two centuries.

Now as global temperatures have remained steady (and even declined in some places) during the last decade, global warming alarmists are on a mad dash to explain away this phenomenon or risk loosing all credibility. Their solution: global warming is just on hold for the next decade or so because of changes in ocean currents and temperatures.

Does this mean that we should disregard the environment and continue to rely on fossil fuels with reckless abandon? Certainly not, even if there were no environmental concerns whatsoever, from a national security standpoint it makes sense to pursue alternative energy sources.

But why are these alarmists so committed to condemning man and man alone for global climate change while continuing to ignore the chief culprit in temperature changes throughout the solar system? Perhaps by ignoring the fact that in the past decade planets like Mars have also experienced rising temperatures they can convince us this farce is a reality.
